The Land Surveyor Team Leader will be responsible for managing a team of up to 20 members in the field. The team leader is mandated to conduct socioeconomic investigations and to collect data on land use. The work will be conducted in African rural areas.
Responsibilities
- Lead the team in the field, take care of logistics and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations of the project;
- Collect data in the field on affected people and property using a GPS;
- Ensure quality of the collected data;
- Communicate and interact with clients and government officials.
Skills and Qualifications
- University education in Geomatics or Civil Engineering; a combination of experience with other education could be considered
- Practical experience with GPS technologies and up-to-date land surveying equipment
- Knowledge of mapping software
- Experience in communicating with local African populations
- Capacity to manage several teams in the field
- Ability to supervise local staff and oversee their professional development
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change
- Fluency in French and English, written and spoken
- Knowledge of IFC principles and the mining industry is an asset

The Resettlement Team Leader will be in charge of a team up to 20 people on site in Guinea. His/her mandate will be to manage compensation for people affected by the infrastructure of a mining project. The work will be done in rural areas of Guinea in Africa.

Under the supervision of the business development director and in collaboration with project team members, you will be responsible for setting up a training department within Borealis for its software products.
You must maintain the highest level of integrity of training information and must ensure that all project team members in contact with current and potential clients receive training on the product use and technology.
You will be responsible for managing the training plans (planning and following-up on training sessions), facilitating work groups and participating in meetings.
Responsibilities
- Participate in developing a training strategy;
- Collect information on and analyze training needs;
- Develop/design training programs and activities and/or assist in developing content for training programs;
- Design educational tools, training guides, presentations, customer orientation and facilitation content;
- Plan and facilitate training sessions (training the trainers, internal team members and clients);
