Our History

Founded in 2004, Boreal-Information Strategies (Borealis) is the result of a unique concept combined with an innovative approach.

A key focus for Borealis is to bridge the gap between projects or site based operations and corporate strategy

The company was first created after the founders noticed a huge gap on the ground in social and environmental impact management in the context of large international infrastructure projects such as those found in the mining and oil & gas industries.

Over the years, Borealis team members have realized that good communication and efficient data transmission between the project site teams and corporate management are often a key condition for companies to achieve better social and environmental outcomes.

Therefore, a key focus for Borealis is to bridge the gap between projects, or site-based operations, and corporate strategy and reporting in the mining and oil & gas industries.

As a result, Borealis offers a holistic solution that combines expertise in the mining and oil & gas sectors with CSR software and integration services to streamline our clients' business processes and ensure that they are equipped to fulfill their sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitments.

Our consultants successfully lead projects all around the world, in different continents such as: North and South America, Africa, Europe, Oceania and Asia, where we have set up and managed information systems for various businesses and organizations in the energy sectors (mining, oil & gas, electric transmission lines, etc.).

Our employees can work in isolated areas, as projects require. They have a collaborative work approach. They set up projects in agreement with the social, cultural and multi-disciplinary contexts they face.
