The Boréalis team is excited to share our recent partnership with Malaysian service provider Petroschiff. ASEAN countries are currently experiencing important economic development, especially in the IT, Energy, Oil & Gas, Engineering, and Mining industries. What’s interesting in Malaysia’s context is the country’s current effort for a diversification of its economy to ensure it does not depend as much on revenues linked to Oil & Gas activities.

Petroschiff’s activities include but are not limited to Renewable Energy, Information Technology (IT), Financial Services, Insurance as well as personnel placement. It is actually the latter that brought both companies together: Petroschiff was looking for a solution to help its clients recruit, hire and manage staff when they found Boréalis’ Local Employment module. After a couple meetings, both organizations agreed on working together to assist Malaysian, Bruneian and other ASEAN companies in their recruitment, CSR, compliance, and sustainability efforts.

Although this partnership is in a country where Boréalis hasn’t been active yet, the organization is already quite active in South East Asia, with projects in Vietnam (NSRP – currently active), and Indonesia with Weda Bay (Eramet – currently active) and Sulawesi (PT. Sulawesi Cahaya Mineral – 2012-2013).

Representatives from both organizations shared their excitement regarding this new alliance: “South East Asia offers tremendous opportunities for us to develop and share our expertise across a wide range of different industries, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have Petroschiff as our partner to help us tackle this market,” claims François Robichaud, Account Director for Asia at Boréalis.

Muhammad Huzaifah, CEO & President at Petroschiff, adds: “Being the sole distributor of Boréalis’ web application and services gives us a competitive edge that our clients and potential clients will truly appreciate. We’ll share with them an expertise that has been developed over many years around the world.”

Boréalis and Petroschiff’s strategy is to work with both the private and public sector in order to maximize outcomes.
