Boréalis helps organizations to manage key stakeholders and secure their support to ensure the success of their projects. Our powerful collaboration software allows any project team to implement effective stakeholder engagement plans and mitigate project risks by making it easy to map and prioritize complex stakeholder relationships, record and monitor all engagements, issues, commitments and grievances, and more. It also assists managers in their engagement strategy by providing insightful analysis, including numerous leading performance indicators and trends on emerging issues.

We build software that help companies manage the data generated by their stakeholder engagement activities in a unified multi-user database. Users can access from any web browser up-to-date information in real-time, no matter where they are. We built a powerful Analytics tool, which enables you to extract very specific information against precise indicators and criteria. There’s also the integration of GIS & mapping that allows you to geo-localize assets, individuals and events, giving you a spatial understanding of a project’s issues. François Robichaud

Account Director

François compiles nearly 10 years of worldwide experience implementing complex CSR and environment solutions on large infrastructure projects across various industries (mining, pipeline, plant sites, oil & gas and petrochemical). His social performance expertise includes providing guidance to management teams on change management processes. François has extensive experience in stakeholder engagement, strategic social investment, grievance management, resettlement and livelihood restoration, socio-economic surveys, environmental monitoring, and biodiversity. He joined the Boréalis team in 2009, where he’s successfully contributed to projects around the world in both developed and developing countries. His combination of human relations skills, management experience and technical competencies makes him a multi-disciplinary actor in any project.

Account Director

Louis specializes in Corporate Social Responsibility data management and delivery of quality solutions. He is Account Director for Africa and has important experience as a consultant working on several extractive projects, more specifically in Africa, Australia and Canada. With strong focus on delivering results and transfer of know-how, Louis has developed a strong expertise with community relations’ management, land access and shared value. He’s been with the Boréalis team since 2008 and contributed to the success of several projects that apply international CSR best practice and standards.

While working on a major pipeline in 1998 Patrick had the creative epiphany which led to the establishment of Boréalis. Companies were just starting to consider community and social risk as part of the execution of their projects - and the implementation of international social impact programs was still in its nascent stage. Six years later, Boréalis was born and rapidly grew into a leader in the Social Performance marketplace. Implementation of the Boréalis solution with global players in the natural resources arena validated Patrick's vision for success. For the past two decades, he has continued his leadership role in major infrastructure initiatives around the world - including pipelines, transmission lines, hydro-power, mines, oil fields, wind power, roads, port, and railway projects.

Raymond is a business development professional in many industrial and infrastructure business segments. He has many years of experience in operations management and project development with international engineering-construction firms, more specifically for mining and metals, forestry products, biopharmaceuticals, and ports sectors. Raymond’s background brings an excellent complementarity to Boréalis’ team with his in-depth knowledge of developing major projects in North and Latin America, in Africa, in the Middle East, in Australia, in Asia and in Europe. His roadmap includes winning important projects on behalf of global clients. Stakeholder engagement has been crucial for each one of his achievements, including in managing major client accounts. He joined the team in early 2017.

Francis has been the Customer Care Manager for nearly 4 years and makes sure you receive a good service. Over the past 15 years, he has developed a strong expertise in IT. Starting his career as a Developer, he then completed a degree in Geomatics and a Master’s in Business Intelligence. His passion and ability to innovate push him to follow the latest trends in customer experience and to offer a service that’s constantly evolving. Francis can discuss with customers in both French and English, and he also continuously improves his knowledge of Spanish. Outside of work, he loves being on the lake to catch big bass, cooking roasts on the BBQ, and growing beautiful flowers!

Business Analyst

Laura is a Business Analyst who specializes in the continuous improvement of processes. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography and a Master’s in Geomatics from Université de Sherbrooke, where she was able to develop technical and analysis skills through many years’ work. Laura’s data modeling and system management know-how equip her with the ability required to understand our clients’ needs and to transform them into functional requirements for technical teams. On the weekends, she loves to do yoga and to play ukulele, and also enjoys hiking and discovering new places.

Nadine is a HEC Montréal graduate with more than 8 years in the digital industry. She has successfully guided many national and international clients in their strategic decision-making. “Every issue has a solution” defines her approach to the corporate challenges she faces with clients. Her project management expertise makes her an important ally when aiming to achieve business objectives. In her spare time, she enjoys manual work, whether it’s with a new renovations project, gardening, or playing with her dogs.

Toni is part of the Customer Care team, where he is the Project Manager responsible for all our projects in Latin America. He has broad experience in Geomatics that combines well with his International MBA. In recent years, his experience has been focused on Project Management and Team management for IT combined with the Agile methodology approach, which is necessary to tackle the challenges of today’s business world. During his time off, Toni is a sports enthusiast who especially enjoys outdoors sports.

Team Lead

Carl is Team Leader of the Product Development team at Boréalis, which he joined in 2012 as a Developer. Before joining the company, Carl was developing software to improve productivity and processes, in addition to reduce costs of operations, for large companies in the pulp and paper industry. He’s been the President of the Executive Board of 2 local NGOs for the last 15 years. When he’s not brainstorming with his team on a breakthrough for new features on the Boréalis Application, Carl is a fervent fan of his daughters’ figure skating.

Mathieu Bouchard

Team Lead, Data Science

Mathieu is Team Leader of the data science team at Boréalis. He holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics and recently joined Boréalis to leverage his expertise in artificial intelligence and mathematical optimization. His team's work allows our customers to exploit the full potential of their data and automates several tasks in Boréalis tools. He previously led the development of a physician scheduling optimization and was an optimization specialist for the NSERC Strategic Research Network on Value Chain Optimization.

Philippe is a Development Team Lead at Boréalis. He’s been with the company since 2006 and his contribution brought success to several extractive projects, more specifically in Australia and Africa. He’s always had great interest in developing quality software tailored to user’s needs, which got him his position as a Team Lead in 2010.

André L’Espérance climbed from intern at Samson Bélair and Associates to become partner within 3 years. After becoming CEO of Industries Lionel Limited, he took over partnership of a subsidury and grew the company to be a major competitor in its market. He later became president of Dettson Group Inc with several factories in Eastern Canada. Currently president of Pal+ Inc., Chairman and CEO of Orford Express, Escapades Memphremagog, Auberge 4 Seasons, and Bistro 4 Seasons in addition to his interest in Boréalis.

Christian De Grâce started from his basement Electronics company to becoming a shareholder in BHM Medical Inc., growing the company from a start-up to a globally renowned manufacturer. Through his experience he has extensive knowledge in business development, international markets and has been involved in M&A, business recovery and mentoring. He sits on various boards of Directors in addition to active involvement with Borealis.
